How to watch IPTV on Windows & Mac

Use an Xtream-compatible player for the full experience, or VLC for a quick test.

Before you start

  • A Windows PC or Mac
  • An Xtream Plan login (server URL + password) — get a free trial if you don't have one

Option 1 — VLC Media Player (free)

  1. Download VLC from the official site, videolan.org, and install it.
  2. Windows: open Media → Open Network Stream.
Mac: open File → Open Network.
  3. Paste your full M3U link (ask us for one — it isn't in the standard delivery email) and select Play / Open.
  4. Open the playlist (View → Playlist) to browse and switch channels.

Note: VLC is great for a quick test but has no TV guide or movie library view. For those, use Option 2.

Option 2 — A dedicated IPTV player

  1. Install an Xtream-compatible desktop player such as IPTV Smarters. Ask us for a recommendation for your system.
  2. Choose Xtream Codes login and enter your server URL and password (any name as username).
  3. Wait for channels, the TV guide and the movie library to load.

Tips for smooth streaming

  • Use a wired connection for 4K.
  • Close heavy downloads and other streaming tabs while watching live sports.

Troubleshooting

VLC says "Your input can't be opened"

Make sure you pasted the complete M3U link, including everything after the ?. Try copying it again from our message.

The playlist takes a long time to load in VLC

Large playlists can take a minute. A dedicated IPTV player loads much faster because it reads categories separately.
