How to set up IPTV on Android TV, box & phone

Android TV, Google TV, Android boxes, Nvidia Shield, Sony/TCL/Hisense Android TVs and Android phones and tablets.

Before you start

  • An Android device with access to Google Play
  • Your IPTV Primeus login — an activation code (App Plan) or server URL + password (Xtream Plan). Get a free trial if you don't have one

App Plan — use our dedicated app

  1. Download our app from the link in your email (allow installs from your browser if Android asks).
  2. Open the app and enter your activation code.
  3. Channels, films and series load automatically — you're done.

Xtream Plan — Step 1: choose and install a player

  1. Open Google Play on your device.
  2. Search for and install a player:
    • TiviMate — built for TV screens, with a cable-style TV guide. Some features need a TiviMate Premium subscription from the app developer.
    • IPTV Smarters Pro — works on TVs, boxes, phones and tablets.
    • Other compatible options include XCIPTV and IBO Player.

Tip: If your box doesn't have Google Play, ask us for a download link and follow Steps 1–3 of the Firestick guide; they work the same way on Android.

Xtream Plan — Step 2a: log in on TiviMate

  1. Open TiviMate and select Add playlist.
  2. Choose Xtream Codes.
  3. Enter the server address and password from your email (use any name as the username), then select Next.
  4. Name the playlist (for example "IPTV Primeus") and select Done. Channels and the TV guide will load.

Xtream Plan — Step 2b: log in on IPTV Smarters Pro

  1. Open the app, accept the terms and choose Login with Xtream Codes API.
  2. Enter the URL and password from your email. For username and name, any text works.
  3. Select Add user and wait while live TV, movies and series download.

Tips for smooth streaming

  • Use Ethernet on boxes and TVs where possible; 5 GHz Wi-Fi otherwise.
  • In TiviMate, set the TV guide to update automatically once a day.
  • On phones, use Wi-Fi to avoid mobile data charges — 4K uses a lot of data.

Troubleshooting

TiviMate isn't in Google Play on my phone

TiviMate is designed for Android TV devices. On phones and tablets, use IPTV Smarters Pro instead.

"Invalid login" or "Authorization failed"

Re-type your details without spaces. The server URL must start with http:// and include the port if one was given.

Picture freezes during live sports

Switch to a wired connection and restart your router. If it continues, message us — we can assign another server.
